Noblis-ESI is seeking a Flight Operations Division Spacecraft Systems Engineer with extensive experience and understanding of spacecraft vehicle, payload, and ground systems engineering and analysis. The position is in Aurora, CO at a government site. Responsibilities include:  

  • Represent the Flight Operations Division in the execution of spacecraft integration, test, launch, and on-orbit operations. 
  • Conduct anomaly support, launch and mission readiness, and end to end space systems architecture. 
  • Maintain close communications with the program acquisition office and customer engineering organizations providing recommendations on risk level of spacecraft activities.
  • Oversee day to day execution of operations and processes to ensure proper attention to health, safety, and effective use of national resources.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to the US Government regarding strategy, operations, and management of national programs.


Required Skills:

  • Advise and assist enterprise-wide readiness activities for pre-launch, launch, deployment, and check-out of mission systems; support transition to operations. 
  • Preparation of Statement of Work, Evaluation Criteria, and Requests for Proposal.
  • Contracting Officer’s Technical Representatives and Contracting Officer experience providing technical and programmatic direction on multiple contracts.
  • TS/SCI w/ CI Poly.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) field – contract requirement; nine (9) years or more experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and/or closing DoD or Intelligence Community projects or Programs. 
  • Strong spacecraft vehicle, payload, and ground systems engineering background.
  • SIGINT systems engineering background and in space and ground domain. Knowledge in customer mission technical capabilities and performance.
  • Technical familiarity with SIGINT systems’ payloads and subsystems.

Client Engagement

· Support and lead evolving business development efforts by applying technical and functional expertise to develop business solutions.
· Lead proposal sections for small or limited competition proposals and actively participate in teaming strategy discussions
